Quotesapp adds a customizable WhatsApp contact button to your Shopify store product pages. When a customer clicks the button, they are redirected to WhatsApp with an optional pre-filled message.
We collect and store only the following information:
We do not collect, store, or process any customer personal data. No customer information passes through our servers.
When a customer clicks the WhatsApp button on your store, they are redirected directly to
WhatsApp (via wa.me). The conversation happens entirely within WhatsApp between
the customer and the merchant. We have no access to these conversations.
Your phone number is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted on our infrastructure. Access is restricted and encrypted in transit. We do not share your data with any third parties.
Our app requests the following Shopify access scopes:
When you uninstall the app, your stored phone number and settings are automatically deleted from our database. The shop metafield created by the app is also removed by Shopify when the app is uninstalled.
The only third-party service involved is WhatsApp (owned by Meta Platforms, Inc.).
We use their public wa.me link format to open conversations. We do not use any
WhatsApp API, and no data is sent to Meta through our app.
